スクリプティングガイドがどんな記述なのかわかりませんが、
以下の様な感じで使えば大丈夫です。
tell application "Adobe InDesign CC 2018"
tell document 1
set SelectFrame to item 1 of selection
select insertion point -1 of SelectFrame
end tell
paste
end tell
